His sensitivity to the sequencing of technology investment, benefit realization, and enterprise value expansion helps ensure positive outcomes for both companies and their financial sponsors. Before Cuesta, Riley lead the private equity practice at Liberty Advisor Group. In this capacity, he and his team conducted IT diligence on 75+ transactions annually and provided post-close technology support for a broad range of PE portfolio companies across several industries. Prior to Liberty, he co-founded Aisle50, a venture-backed startup aiding grocery shoppers by integrating online payments with retail POS systems, a company that was acquired by Groupon. Riley also spent three years in Germany leading strategic projects on behalf of the SAP Board of Directors and later served as SAP’s Executive Director of line of business solutions.
Riley co-founded Cuesta because he’s passionate about helping executives and private equity firms use technology as a lever to grow enterprise value. He has a long track record of innovative solutions to tricky business problems and appreciates Cuesta’s dedication to financially sound, outside-the-box thinking.
Riley lives in Maine with his wife and children. When school’s out, they can often be found Nordic skiing or trail running in the mountains.
