Before joining Cuesta, Sebastian worked at Treinta (YC W21), where he supported Growth, Product, and Finance teams through statistical analysis, predictive modeling, KPI development, and data automation. These experiences strengthened his ability to connect data engineering, modeling, and visualization to drive business impact.
Sebastian holds an M.S. in Business Analytics from Babson College and a degree in MechanicalEngineering with a Minor in Economics from the University of Los Andes. During his time at Babson, heserved as Vice President of the Analytics Club, helping organize events and initiatives that supportedthe school’s data community. Throughout his studies, he continued to deepen his expertise in machinelearning, reinforcement learning, system dynamics, and marketing analytics—skills that now inform hispractical, technology-driven approach to solving business problems.
Originally from Bogotá and now based in Boston, Sebastian brings a global perspective shaped bycuriosity, travel, and community involvement. Previously, as a Board Member of Uniandinos Outdoors,he helped plan trips and activities, managed budgets and resources, and fostered inclusive experiencesthat strengthened ties within the alumni community. He remains passionate about exploring emergingtechnologies, benchmarking tools, and participating in beta programs to stay at the forefront ofinnovation.
