Brad thrives on challenging problems and wants nothing more than for customers to feel that defending their technology assets is possible. Through real-life high-risk experiences, Brad has learned to communicate risk-based decisions to leaders and aid them in architecting resilient defensive solutions.
Before Cuesta, Brad worked as a SecDevOps strategist and threat hunter for his boutique consulting firm, BruteForce. Prior to life as a civilian, Brad spent 10 years in the Marine Corps as a Combat Engineer, with visits to sandy places but no oceans, and then continued as a Data Systems Specialist. As a network analyst, Brad solved problems for large DoD organizations that encompassed troubleshooting, performance/optimization, and forensics within the cyberspace domain. Brad transitions seamlessly between offensive and defensive skill sets, which is highlighted by numerous certifications from cybersecurity accreditation bodies.
When Brad isn’t helping customers wrestle with cyber risk, he is spending time free-ranging his kids in the wild Montana playgrounds. He can be found climbing uphill to find back-country powder stashes, visiting distant beach breaks, and coaxing his kids to follow him on epic adventures.
